The first annual Amboy Bluegrass and Old Time Music Festival was held in a beautiful park setting at 21400 NE 399th Ave Amboy, WA 98601. The Festival featured over 11 bands, on two stages, instrument contests for trophies and prestige, instrument workshops with great local teachers, food and drink vendors, hand made artist show and sale, supervised kid's area with art projects, open mikes, square dancing hosted by Bill Martin (Friday Night after the show at the grange hall), community covered jamming areas, indoor and outdoor events and old time demonstrations. The museum next door will host jamming and workshops. Some of the bands include: The Loafers, Fern Hill, George Chudacoff, Misty Mamas, Puddletown Ramblers, Marty and the Martin Boys, Wright Family Band, Hackanson Family Band, Sasquatch Revival, Southern Sounds and No Time 2 Lose. Workshops taught by some of the Northwest's best musicians: George Chudacoff - guitar, Mike Stahlman - banjo, Dave Elliott - Mandolin, Mac Wilcox - bass. For more pictures, click here.
