![]() Photography by Noel Johnson - Click to enlarge. Battle Ground Lake State Park is a camping park with 280 acres of beautiful, forested land in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The lake itself is of volcanic origin and is considered to be a smaller version of Crater Lake in Oregon. WDFW regularly plants trout in this beautiful, easily accessible lake, perfect for family fishing. The lake is less than three miles from downtown Battleground. There is overnight camping, picnic area, kids play equipment and a boat launch. Great swimming in the summer. Click here for more information. Pictures taken May 1, 2010.
