Lots of birds today. - 2:35 p.m. 11/30/2006
I was pleasnatly surprised to see a flock of Bush Tits flitting about in our Oak Tree today. It has been a long time since they have been here. Also, a beautiful Stellars Jay in its new bright blue winter coat is at our feeder along with Juncos, Varied Thrushes, Chestnut Backed and Black Capped Chickadees and a Red-Breasted Nuthatch. Happy Holidays. Noel - November 30, 2006

We saw a yellow-bellied sapsucker and a brown creeper on our walk. This is the first time we have seen either of them for quite awhile. black-headed grosbeaks and goldfinches have joined other birds at our feeders. I saw a yellow warbler in the tree outside our window. I can see this tree while on my computer. Cool!

An Americam Bald Eagle snatched a squirrle out of our neighbor's yard right before my eyes. What a thing to see. The squirrle didn't have a chance.

Owls and rabbits. - 10:50 a.m. 3/31/2006
There have been a lot of rabbits and few owls around here in the last few years. I was happy to hear a Great Horned Owl last night. The rabbits get too numerous and start eating our flowers and shrubs.
