Walter W. Hansen Sr. is a resident of Woodland, WA. Walt is very active in community affairs. He very seldom misses a Woodland City Council meeting. His services include Board of Directors for the Downtown Woodland Revitalization Committee, Treasurer for Woodland Planter's Days and many other organizations. Walt has a photographic memory and as such he has built up a well deserved repution as our Local Historian. You would be hard pressed to come up with a question about the past in this area that Walt didn't know the answer to. Walter is a great asset to the community.

She and her future husband, Walt, went to Planter's Day together on their first date in June 1953. "They married Aug. 1, 1953, about six weeks later," daughter Lori Sargent of Woodland said.
