On May 27, 2009 250 Grass Carp were planted in Woodland's Horseshoe Lake. Rich Cuniningham with Opaline Aqua-Farm delivered the fish. The carp keep the lake clean by eating excess aquatic plant material (milfoil). The fish are sterile, triploid fish. The process for producing triploid fish involves shocking eggs with rapid change in temperature or pressure.
