WDFW and Fish First distribute salmon carcasses back into the North Fork Lewis River to feed the baby salmon (smolts). Pictured are Tom Golik, President of the Woodland Downtown Revitalization Committee, Robert Schneider and others. They are cutting the tails off the salmon so they can be identified from natural spawners in the river. Fish First raises smolts in net pens and some of these carcusses are used to feed them also. Some of the carcasses are frozen for later disribution. Fish First members are all volunteers. They deserve a big pat on the back.
