Hulda Klager Lilac GardensHulda Klager Lilac Garden TeaApril 11, 2009
President Patti Audette introduced Woodland Planters' Days Princesses Ashley Snead and Sierra Hinkle to the group of volunteer hostesses assembled at a tea in the Hulda Klager House on Saturday, April 11. Fran Northcut then went over some of the history of the Society and of Hulda and her family. Dollie Bottemiller read a story she wrote as a voice for the Historic Lilac House. It was very nice and full of history. The volunteers were then coached as to how to be effective hostess during the upcoming Lilac Festival which included pronunciations of Hulda (Hull-duh) Thiel (Teel) Klager (Clay-ger) and other changes that have been made for the 2009 Open House.
