We live on the banks of the North Fork Lewis River. We have been adding trees and shrubs and flowers for many years. We actually planted the fir trees pictured above.
The gardening year starts out with daffodils and tulips, and then the rhododendrons and azaleas.
We have a spring wave of blooming roses.
There is huge Mt. Fuji flowering Cheery that blooms close to the same time as the lilacs.
We have a perennial garden in which I always plant some annual snapdragons. We cater to flowers that the hummingbirds and butterflies like such as perennial fuchsias and montbrecia. There are lots of iris, day lilies, daises, liatris, oriental lilies, Welch poppies, and goldenrod. We do a few hanging baskets of annuals also.
Several Japanese maple and other trees show lots of fall color.
We feed birds all year round, and it does snow occasionally some winters. This is an awesome place to live and garden.
