Horseshoe Lake

Horseshoe Lake, is located on the Cowlitz-Clark County line, in the City of Woodland. This 85 acre lake has a maximum depth of 16 feet and a mean depth of 6 feet. There are three miles of shoreline including Horseshoe Lake Park. When US 99 (now I-5) was built in 1940 a bend in the river was isolated and became Horseshoe Lake.

The Boston Terrier Club of Portland, Oregon held their 7th Annual Boston Tea Party at Horseshoe Lake Park in Woodland, Washington on Saturday August 25, 2007 from 11 am to 7 pm. For more information, click here. Fore more pictures, click here.

The lake is open for fishing year around. It is a great spot for the whole family and a perfect place to teach the kids how to fish. Rainbow and brown trout are planted as are some steelhead and brood trout. There are some bass and other warm water fish also.

June 26, 2006 was a record breaking 102 in Woodland and people flocked to Woodland's Horseshoe Lake Park to cool off. Click here for more pictures.
