Miss Teen La Center 2008

A dedication ceremony celebrating the opening of the Gazebo in Sternwheeler Park was held on August 27, 2005. Click here for more pictures.

Continuous work is being done to improve the wetlands and monitor the temperature of the water in the East Fork. Click here for a few pictures taken March, 2005.

The first event held at the new La Center Sternwheeler Park was the Dedication Ceremony and La Center Community Connection Celebration. The date was June 4, 2004 and It was a beautiful sunny day. Click here for pictures of the event.

In 2001, a partnership with Vancouver/Clark Parks and Recreation, City of La Center, and Clark Public Utilities was formed to develop the upland portion of land directly south of the City of La Center, Washington. Improvements proposed included: parking area with restroom, picnic shelter, terrace program area, picnic tables, benches, drinking fountain, signage, irrigation, and landscaping. Planning and design work is finished and construction began Summer of 2003. The Colf Construction Company is the General Contractor. View the Lewis River Wetland Stewardship Project master plan.
