Lydia Nelson's Ninetieth Birthday Party
Letter from Ned
June 8, 2004 - Sure was some party and I don't remember having that many people in our house before. Those of you that were here--it was nice seeing you. Our girls Janie and Carolyn and husbands sure worked hard and they sure made our yard look like a million dollars. Planted so many nice flowers trees and bushes. I sure pat them on the back for all they did.
Everyone that did get here - It was a pleasure seeing you and I bet you agree, we sure had fun. We should do more of it. Lydia enjoyed it a lot and I did. Got to admit it was a lot of work. Carolyn and Janie ordered a tent for the front yard and a bunch of chairs. Luckily we did not get but a few drops of rain. The kiddies played baseball out back and Carolyn's son Robert hit a home run.
Everyone - It was sure a pleasure seeing each other again. Hey we should do more of this stuff. I sang from the e-mail from Jim back east. A Happy birthday to you to Lydia. She got your note. It was really nice to get together.
