2007 Quilt Raffle Winner
On Tuesday, October 9, 2007 the Lewis River Quilters awarded the raffle quilt to Kay Clapp. (Attached are the photos.) Kay is from Vancouver and been a quilter for a number of years. She was excited when she was notified that she was the winner! The Lewis River Quilt group all participated in making the blocks and appliquing the quilt. Roberta Peterson from Woodland did the machine quilting. Many compliments were received on the design and workmanship for this project. It was featured at many venues including the Lewis River Quilt Show on July 21st and most recently at the N.W. Quilt Expo in Portland, OR. The Lewis River Quilters will be donating $1,000 to the Woodland Mobile Meals from funds raised for the raffle quilt. They will also be donating a smaller sum to the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens for their support of the group.
