These photographs were taken on Thursday, July 25, 2002. These are historic pictures because there was so much smoke from forest fires in the area that you could barely see the lake from the crater rim. I asked an old timer up there and he said he thought it had never happened before. Another time we will go back and get some nice clear pictures for this site. Who needs an excuse?
