History of the Lewis River Golf Course
The Lewis River Golf Course opened for business in 1967. The course started out as a 9-hole facility. Nine more holes were added in 1969. Since then, the course has experienced many changes. A flood in 1996 destroyed six out of the nine holes on the back nine. The holes were rebuilt within the next year. New and challenging changes were also added at that time.
Between 1996 and 2000 three of the holes on the front nine were rebuilt adding distance and beauty to the already scenic setting.
The clubhouse has also experienced many changes. A fire in September of 2000 destroyed the golf shop and bar & grill. A new clubhouse, finished in 2002, was constructed using a rustic NW theme, featuring logs, river rock and hand forged iron accents throughout. The new facility hosts a great room and an adjoining riverside patio that makes the Lewis River Golf a perfect site for special events of all kinds, from corporate outings and workshops, to reunions, banquets, weddings, and receptions.
Lewis River Golf's Management philosophy is one of continuous investment. This has led to many improvements and will continue to provide new and exciting changes to keep the Lewis River experience fresh for years to come.
