Benno and Klazina Dobbe and their family held a 25th anniversary celebration.
On July 20, 1980, Benno and Klazina emigrated with their children Nicolette, Ben, and Stefan, from the Netherlands to the United States. This 25th year anniversary was celebrated with close family and many friends at their home in Woodland.
25 years ago - with a dream and a vision – Benno and Klazina started a new life in Woodland with their family. They are thankful for the decision to immigrate to the United States and happy they chose Woodland as their home town. The journey the Dobbe family experienced in the past 25 years has been rewarding in many ways.
Benno and Klazina are truly proud to see their children growing up and becoming responsible young adults. In 1997 – during a 6 week period - Nicolette married Chris Wakefield, Ben married Jennifer Moldenhauer, and Stefan married Jodi Hanes. Benno and Klazina are “opa” (grandpa) and “oma” (grandma) of six beautiful grand children, Gelina (Nicolette and Chris), Katie, Emily and Erin (Ben and Jennifer), and Madelyn and Zachary (Stefan and Jodi). Stefan and Jodi are expecting their second son, “Lucky” grandchild # 7.
The Dobbe’s feel very blessed with their marriage, the families of their 3 children, their health, and to be Americans. They are grateful for the opportunities that were available to them since coming to the United States and the positive changes that resulted. They certainly appreciate the great people they have met over the years, many who have become good friends.
They hope to have made a positive difference in the lives of others. They feel that many certainly did so in their lives, since they moved to Woodland. Benno and Klazina, also their children and their families, would like to thank everyone who made the 25th celebration such a wonderful and memorable event!
