Cowlitz County Commissioners Race - July 2008The Cowlitz County League of Women Voters and the Woodland Community Library sponsored a forum for the candidates for Cowlitz County Commissioners race. City Council Meeting Regarding PoolA special City Council meeting was held in Horseshoe Lake Park to seek questions about the proposed Pool and Recreation building. About one hundred people attended and questions were asked and opinions stated for and against the pool being at the park. The meeting was held on September 25, 2006 at 7 pm. New Woodland Planning CommissionerChristine Randall was appointed to the Woodland Planning Commission at the Woodland City Council meeting on February 27, 2006. She was appointed to an unexpired term ending January 2, 2007. The regular term of office is six years. Congratulations!

Woodland Fire Chief position is now official
At the Woodland City Council meeting on October 18, 2004, Mayor Douglas A. Monge presented Sandy Larson a plaque for 18 years of service on the Woodland Planning Commission.
At the City Council meeting on Monday, August 16, 2004, Woodland Chief of Police Rob Stephenson administered the oath of office to new Woodland Police Officer Robb Lipp. Relatives and friends of Robb Lipp attended the meeting to congratulate Robb.
A get together was held March 31, 2004 at Woodland City Hall honoring Police chief Grover Laseke for his many years of dedicated and honorable service to Woodland.
