Woodland Fire Department 2011 Awards Banquet

The Woodland Fire Department held its annual awards banquet March 10, 2012 at the Lewis River Golf Course. The event was well attended and everyone enjoyed the food and the camaraderie. The Department is working together like a well oiled machine to protect our community.

October, 2009

From left to right: Shane Waliezer, Jon Silveria, Ian Jamieson, Larry Wanous, and Steven Cole. These 5 members recently passes all entrly level testing to become Volunteers and Interns for the City of Woodland Fire Department. Two of the individuals have Fire Service experience and are enrolled in the PCC Fire Science program and have also completed their National Registry Emergency Medical Technician training. One of the members is a Nationally Certified Paramedic and works as a para-rescue jumper for the military. All members are excited to begin a new chapter in their lives and helping their community. We welcome all of these fine men into our community team.

Wedding of Matthew Patching and Melody Bockhahn - June 13, 2009

Matt and Melody took their wedding vows under partly cloudy skies, in the Gazebo at Horseshoe Lake Park, in Woodland, on June 13, 2009. It was a beautiful wedding with a beautiful bride and groom. The flower girl was too cute. The white flowing wedding gown elicited wows form everyone. Friends and relatives from far and wide attended. Woodland Sea Wall Drill

The downtown area of Woodland is protected by a sea wall. The sea wall has an opening in it for Lewis River Road to pass through. In case of a pending flood there are planks that are used to close the wall to protect Woodland. A drill was held on May 13, 2008 to aquaint new employs with thr procedure for closing the wall.
