Ridgefield Hometown Celebration
December 7, 2013 - The Ridgefield Hometown Celebration was held on December 7, 2013. This celebration is scheduled for the first Saturday in December of each year. Events include singers, musicians, a fun run, horse carriage rides as well as a Holiday Bazaar with all kinds of crafts and goodies. Santa Claus arrives at Sterling Bank is available for pictures. The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is awesome. This truly is an event with something for all members of the family. It was a record cold day but people still came out. Chamber of Commerce Christmas Fundraiser

December 2013 - Susan McAdams is the winner of the 2014 Theme Contest and the theme is "SMALL TOWN ~ BIG SPIRIT". Thanks to Susan and the winning money will be donated to the WOODLAND ACTION CENTER formally WCSC.

November 2013 - After Hours sponsored by: the City of Woodland, Port of Woodland and the Woodland School District was held at the new Woodland Police station on November 14, 2013. There was a very large turnout. Everyone was impressed by the new police station. Food was provided by the Woodland High School students "Touch of Class Catering". November 7, 2013 - The Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation held the 2013 Authors and Illustrators Dinner and Silent Auction featuring Judy Schachner on November 7, 2013. Judy Schachner is a New York Times best selling author. The event was held at the Vancouver Hilton with about 400 in attendance. Hundreds of gift basket were auctioned of. Great event. Good time. October 26, 2013 - Volunteers participated in Woodland's Make a Difference Day at 8:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2013. The kids and leaders really worked hard. Library Volunteer Appreciation Event
September 21, 2013 - An event honoring the FVRL volunteer hero's was held a the Battleground Community Library on September 21, 2013. There was good food, prizes and camaraderie. A wonderful event. The FVRL volunteers spend hundreds of hour contributing to the success of the libraries. They do such things as help with book sales, teach languages, participate in community activities, sponsor all kinds of activities for children, they even help beautify library grounds by mowing the lawn and so forth.
