Breaking News: Chuck Blum Medical ConditionMany of you are asking, so I would like to share some information with you. Please share with others if you wish. Mayor Chuck Blum was hospitalized late Friday night and admitted to SW WA Hospital in Vancouver. Sharon called me this a.m. and gave me an update on his condition. He underwent heart bypass surgery on Sunday, October 18th. He is still sedated, but doing well. He is expected to be in the hospital most of the week. Since he is in cardiac I.C.U. no flowers or balloons can be received. Also, visitors are limited to family only at this time. In the meantime, cards may be sent in c/o City of Woodland, PO Box 9, Woodland WA 98674 or you can drop them off at City Hall Annex, 230 Davidson Avenue and we will forward them to Sharon to give to him. As far as business, Sharon expressed that Chuck will be returning to his Mayor duties as soon as his doctor will release him (per Chuck on Saturday). Councilmember Marilee McCall will be taking the role of Mayor Pro Tem during Chuck’s absence. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
