Halloween in Woodland
October 31, 2011 - Downtown Woodland Businesses celebrated Halloween by inviting everyone to trick or treat. Well over 400 kids and adults paricipated. The event was held from 3 to 5 pm under beautiful sunny skies. This is a fabulous event - Click here for more pictures. |

Woodland's "Make a Difference Day"
October 22, 2011 - "A city wide clean-up and effort to promote community pride and youth awareness. Sponsored by the City of Woodland and Woodland Community Education. Teams of adults and youngsters perform identified service projects around the community." - Click here for more pictures. |

Pacific Energy Public Meeting
October 13, 2011 - Pacific Energy hosted a public meeting at the Port of Woodland meeting room. It was a chance for the public to meet those people responsible for our safety during high water events. How Pacific Energy controls the water released from the dams was explained. October 7, 2011 - A homecoming princess assembly was held at the Woodland High School on October 7, 20011. The Queen will be selected on October 22 and the winner will be announced at half time of the football game - Click here for more pictures. |

Mt Men Re-Enacters
October 6, 2011 - On October 6th at 7:00p.m. a program at the Cowlitz County Museum was held as follows "Mountain Man": What was life like for the fur trappers and traders that traveled the American West in the Early 19th Century? Come and learn about the fur trade, equipment and life of a voyageur from Bob and Peggy Johnson and Karl and Rita Graichen. The presenters will be in period costume and displaying items used by the mountain men - Click here for more pictures.

October 1, 2011 - The Woodland VFW sponsored an Octoberfest at their hall in Woodland on October 1, 2011. The served hotdogs and kraut. A few vendors sold their merchandise. A raffle for a Deer Riffle was won by Noel Johnson - Click here for more pictures. |
